Biography
Caroline is the daughter of Jean-Marc Nicolas and Isabelle Bertran de Balanda. She started competing as a pony at the age of 5, won numerous events and GP C1 with her crack pony Mon Désir and then in D1 with Thunder du Blin, with whom she also finished 13th in the individual European Championship in Stockholm (Sweden).
She started riding at the age of 12 and finished 3rd in her first B1 with Rubis de Balme. In 1995, she was European Junior Champion with Sarrazin, then she was European Vice-Champion Young Rider with Carat. She then toured CSI all over the world with Bien Élu, Watch Me de Rêve, Mozart de Beny, Nobylis and Stoulone.
She also has numerous national and international results with Alias Watch, whom she bred and who is the daughter of her former mare Watch Me de Rêve. She is currently preparing the next generation with the offspring of her own breeding operation, Golden Watch (6 years old) and Inti Watch (4 years old), descendants of Alias Watch.
